Central heating systems fill up with sludge and rust over the years. It settles in the bottom of the radiators and the low points of the pipework, and it is behind most of the cold spots, the rads that never quite get going, and the boiler that bangs and gurgles when it fires.
A power flush pushes cleaning chemicals through the whole system under pressure and drags it all out. Your heating comes back up to temperature faster afterwards and the boiler stops working so hard. We add inhibitor at the end to slow the sludge coming back. It is worth doing before a new boiler goes in, so you are not pumping fresh heat through a dirty system.
