Plumbing that turns up when it says it will

On a new build, the plumbing isn't usually what holds a job up. The plumber is. Trades that don't turn up on the agreed date, first fix that fouls the joists, second fix that has to be picked apart because nobody read the drawings.

We do first and second fix plumbing and heating for developers, builders and self-builders across Devon. Pipework set out properly at first fix so the plasterers and chippies aren't working round us, then a clean second fix and commissioning at the end. Gas Safe registered, so the boiler and the gas run are signed off properly rather than left for someone else to sort.

What we do

First fix to handover

One firm for the whole plumbing package on the plot.

First fix

Hot and cold pipework, waste runs and heating pipework set out to the drawings, pressure tested and left ready for the boarders.

Second fix

Sanitaryware, taps, showers, radiators and the boiler fitted and commissioned once the decorating's done.

Heating systems

Full central heating systems designed and installed, boiler or heat pump, with the controls set up properly.

Extensions & conversions

Not just new plots. We plumb extensions, loft conversions and garage conversions, tying cleanly into what's already there.

Self-builders

Doing your own build? We'll work to your programme and talk you through the decisions rather than just billing you for them.

Signed off clean

Gas Safe registration means the gas and boiler work is certified properly, so it's not a snag at handover.

Common questions

New Build Plumbing FAQs

What is a power flush?

It's a deep clean of your central heating, a machine pushes cleaning chemicals and water through the system at high flow to clear out sludge, rust and debris that build up over time.

How do I know if I need one?

Cold spots on radiators, some rads not heating, slow warm-ups, noisy pipes or a banging boiler, or dirty water when you bleed a radiator. All signs sludge has built up.

How long does a power flush take?

Most take the best part of a day, depending on the size of the system and how much build-up there is. We'll give you a timescale with your quote.

Will it help my heating bills?

Usually yes, a clean system heats up faster and runs more efficiently, so you're not paying to push heat through a clogged system.
