Boiler installation, heat pumps, bathrooms and servicing across Honiton and East Devon.

Honiton

What we do in Honiton

Honiton sits about seventeen miles east of Exeter along the A30. We take on planned work there and across East Devon.

The town is a mix, with plenty of older property along the high street and newer housing around the edges. Get out into the East Devon countryside and a large amount of it is off the gas grid entirely.

That is the interesting part, and it is where the money is for anyone still heating with oil.

Services

Planned work in Honiton

Boiler installation

New boilers and replacements in Honiton, fitted by Gas Safe registered engineers at a fixed price agreed before we start.

Boiler servicing & repair

Annual services, breakdowns and repairs. A serviced boiler burns less gas and is far less likely to pack up in January.

Air source heat pumps

Installed with the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant taken off the quote before you pay. £7,500, or £9,000 for eligible off-gas-grid homes from 21 July 2026.

Air conditioning

F-Gas qualified installation and servicing. Modern units are heat pumps, so they warm a room in winter as well as cooling it in summer.

Bathroom installation

Full bathrooms in Honiton. Plumbing, tiling, electrics and finishing by one team, at one price.

Landlord gas certificates

Annual CP12 certificates for landlords, agents and holiday lets, with reminders before they expire.

Power flushing

Clearing sludge out of the system so the radiators actually warm up and the boiler stops working so hard.

Local knowledge

East Devon runs on oil

Rural East Devon has oil tanks in a great many gardens. If that is you, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant for switching to an air source heat pump rises to £9,000 for eligible off-gas-grid properties from 21 July 2026, against £7,500 for homes on mains gas.

It will not suit every building. A draughty solid-walled cottage is a poor candidate, and we will tell you that rather than take the job. But for a reasonably tight property paying oil prices, the case is a strong one.

Honiton FAQs

Do you cover Honiton?

Yes, for planned work: boilers, bathrooms, heat pumps, air conditioning and servicing. Not for emergencies, as seventeen miles is too far for us to be genuinely useful in one.

Is a heat pump worth it if I am on oil in East Devon?

Often, yes. Oil costs more per unit of heat than mains gas, so the running-cost case for a heat pump is stronger. Eligible off-gas-grid homes get £9,000 through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme from 21 July 2026. Whether your building suits one is a question for a heat loss survey, not a sales pitch.

Can you do a landlord gas certificate in Honiton?

Yes. Annual CP12 certificates for landlords and letting agents, with reminders so the renewal does not creep up on you.
