Coldharbour Mill at Uffculme has been spinning wool since 1797, making it one of the oldest working textile mills in the world. Thomas Fox bought the site because of the River Culm's water and its fifteen acres of meadow, and the mill supplied his weaving factories in Somerset for generations.
